Preparing For The Shoot

There is an old adage that says that for every $1 you spend in pre-production, you will save $2 in post-production.

Pre-production is critical to the success of any project.  Pre-production is everything that happens before the camera rolls.  The often tedious process of planning the shoot, scouting locations, getting the script perfect, assembling the right crew, casting the talent, and completing the necessary paperwork required for the shoot can often seem like an endless process.  After all, the real fun begins once the cameras begin to roll.

However, getting all the pre-production elements perfect can mean the difference between a successful project, and one that misses the mark.  Also, by taking special care in pre-production, it is easier to maintain the project's budget.  Nothing will kill a project's budget faster than surprises, and pre-production is the key to eliminating those surprises.

Our crews are composed entirely of industry professionals.  We offer full service crews that include directors, cinematographers, gaffers, grips, and production audio… just to name a few.  We use only the crew members needed to get the production done right, no more, no less.  Additionally, we are well-versed in all formats and styles of filmmaking.  No production is too big or small.

POST-PRODUCTION
After the shoot

Stage Left Films additional offers a full range of post production services.  During picture editing, we work with you so that we get your vision right.  We invite our clients to give us feedback during post production and work together to see your production through.

In terms of audio, our audio mixers and editors adhere to strict television broadcast standards and deliver a final mix that shines.  Our music composers and extensive sound effects libraries bring your production to life as well as our team of graphic designers.
